Proposal for Social Commentary Folio

After speaking with a fellow member of my gym who is blind, I decided to try my luck with doing my documentary series on her involvement within Fernwood. Having no sight on its own would be an extreme challenge but having the motivation to train at the gym on a regular basis is truly inspiring.

When Leonie started at Fernwood she weighed approx. 116 kgs, now at around 80 kgs I never fail to see Leonie in on at least weekly basis, committing to her workouts with her guide dog Buffy never far away.

With some major changes to the Belconnen bus interchange Leonie has mentally been quite unstable as of late. So for me to approach her and say she is such an inspiring person & could I please do this series of 6 images on her, she was very touched and quite willing.

My plans are to join her on a few workouts, individually & with her trainer, document her determination, the challenges she may have to face and her success along with the assistance she receives from staff & her guide dog.
